For those interested, you can see the approximate location of Saturday nights camp site if you go to Google maps, directions, and enter these coordinates for A: 34.998504,-116.160617 and for B: 34.728634,-116.164966. If you go to Satellite Mode on the map, and zoom in you can see that airport we passed on the east/west road we passed that had the wood fence around it. The east/west road is shown, but unnamed. If you look to the north you can see the railroad tracks.

I made it back last night with the wounded Cherokee in tow, At the last moment Cody D. came along. Pretty much drove out there non-stop hooked up the XJ and drove back non-stop. Got back somewhere between 9:30 and 10 pm, made better time than I would have thought. Much of the whole drive Cody spent trying to talk me into buying newer JK! We'll see, Thanks, Fred Explorer 1

I have to believe if I buy a JK it won't be in the "sissy" Category. Thanks, Fred

It was an different trip, I think we may have "cured" more newbies than infected them with the bug. Once I get some of he pictures loaded I give a report. Thanks, Fred Explorer 1

On our way home, Hector said he wouldnt do this trip again. But after a morning back at work he said "a bad day off-roading is better than a good day at the office." he'll be back. thanks again for the great time, expereince, tour, and memories.

Too bad you didn't keep the movie on a little bit longer when crossing the soon to be not so dry, Dry Lake. It would have been fun to see Cody get his Ford Explorer stuck in the mud! Thanks for sharing, Fred Wounded Explorer 1
