I will get the items you asked about. What did you intend to use the tarp for? We will have a communal tarp for everyone to gather under or an "easy up".

Thanks, Murrie, for willing to loan to me those items. You are right, I will not really need the tarp. Btw, are we still on this Saturday to do the tires? What time and where?
I looked up the link from Matt regarding the handhelds. Are those the 2M ones? Maybe, Matt, I could use one of yours this trip and then make the decision what to buy for future trips.

Fred, i agree with Murrie, we should all meet before we leave. Maybe Friday evening or thursday night. looking forward to this trip. Looks like everyone who is leaving from Whittier will be over for Shop night this Thursday. We'll bring what ever stuff we want you and Rudi to carry there to give you. Once we meet up with Dane in his Tundra, we'll ask him to carry yours and Rudi's 5 gallon gas cans so you won't need to carry them inside of your vehicle on the trail. You can carry them empty inside your vehicles until we get to Silverton. See you Thursday, Fred |

Hi Matt! Someone mentioned that you had a good used set of 31' jeep off roading tires on sale. Do you still have them? Murrie will not be able to get his new tires before the Colorado trip. I think that Murrie also decided to use his old ones now for longer, so that they will not be available for me to buy (for that special price  . Fred, I also would not mind to drive with my old ones. What do you think? There is enough tread yet, even though, the age is not that fresh. Rudi |

Then you could bring the best of your current ones as a spare tire. Just joined the forum. Looking forward to meeting you all in CO! I'll be there with my 2005 Toyota Tundra I understand that in a more recent trip you did some "custom" body work to your truck, using some rocks.......got any pictures? Also, watch this Thread for updates on the Colorado trip, less than 30 days away. Thanks, Fred Explorer 1 Hahaha, as I was doing some technical maneuvers over watermelon/cantaloupe sized rocks and my truck lost its footing and kissed a tree. I dont have any pictures of the kiss on the trail but I do have an after pic.  I also got stuck in some mud two weekends before this incident. All four wheels were at full droop as I was resting pleasantly on my belly. That was fun   Here is a video from before the mud. |
