Well with the tune up, new CPS,O2 sensor and using my XJ'x CAT Bob passed smog in flying colors. It was a night and day difference. One of the cleanest XJ's the smog shop has tested.
However, with that said on the way home from the smog shop Bob stalled and wouldn't start. We puled it home that afternoon and it turned out to be a worn out ignition coil. Got him running again and then wanted to deal with the slight miss when idling and the occasional hesitation when applying a slight throttle.
Found the vacuum leak that caused the slight idle problem and the hesitation problem was the EGR value.
Bob now runs like a champ!
I have a new flow master muffler for it which will give us a little better sound. Fernando picked up the replacement front axle shafts which we'll install some Saturday and I think he'll be ready for a off road trial soon.
Oh, one more item, Ryan and Cody bleed the brake line and refilled the reservoir with new fluid and the brake peddle is firm and stopped the vehicle good.
We have other items we're going to check over and I'm looking for a sale on engine cleaner so we can check for any other leaks.
Thanks, Fred Explore 1

Bob is running so good now, one of the smoothest and best running XJ's I have ever been in!
With the new muffler it also sounds a bit more "manly" too.
Noticed that it running too high of oil pressure under hard acceleration. We'll have to check into that.
Now that it's running so good, we'll start with the suspension upgrades.
