What do you think the weather is going to be like? Hot below the mountains while traveling through the desert and then very pleasant at our campsites in the mountains, depending on the different location each night, lows anywhere from high 50's to low 40's. Thanks, Fred

This trail will exit near the Black Rock Ranger station and the trail to Monache Meadows where we will make camp along side the South Fork of the Kern River.
Saturday:
Travel back down to the Black Rock station and then follow the pave mountain road east to Hwy 395. Travel north to Bishop where we will then take the Coyote Flats trail up into the eastern Sierra's camping along side Baker Creek or near the meadows.
Sunday:
Back track the way we came back down to Bishop, then travel north to Swall meadows and the Sand Canyon trail up once again into the high eastern Sierrs's. Arriving at the unnamed lake for camp we can then leave camp and if we want take the Wheeler Ridge Trail to outstanding views of the Owens Valley before returning to camp for the evening.
Monday:
Back track down Sand Canyon and over to 395 north to the top of Sherman grade past Lake Crowley then take the Tobacco Flats trail up to the remote vista of the Sierra Crest on the west and to the east, Long Valley. Then travel back down and just a short distance north on 395 to the Laurel Lakes trail where we will either camp next to the creek in the Aspens or climb to the lakes above for our camp.
Tuesday:
Head Home.
We have plenty of opportunities to fuel up in-between trails and pick up ice or some supplies.
It will be pleasant to be up in the cooler weather for camping.
Thanks, Fred Explorer 1

Looks like we might so isolated thunder showers Monday, might want to bring something in case you're outside and we get dropped on.
It shouldn't be a cold rain, and the Sierra's always have a neat fresh smell after a summer shower.
