We'll have our regular shop night now that the Koko II trip is finished. No known "carnage" of any of the group vehicles, only real issue was the newer Ford F-250 pick up we drove from the starting point to the campsites owned by one of the bikers. Seemed that he wasn't aware just how worn his front brake pads were so on day 2 when the pads were completely gone they slipped off their position on the caliber and one of the pistons were destroyed, causing the brake fluid reservoir to quickly drain on the ground. Fortunately, we had "Mr. McGiver" with us (David Brewster) who assisted us with isolating the brake line so we could operate on three wheel brakes without damaging the brake lines. Later after getting the truck to camp, Michael Alcorn (Murrie's twin brother) drove the owner to Phoenix where he secured the replacement parts and then Brewster stayed up till 11 pm putting it all back together. Another experience well taken on the value of knowing how to make a "trail fix" More talk and stories about the Koko II trip and I have gear and supplies of some of you guys left at my house. Come pick it up or suffer seeing your stuff for sale on Craigs list. With so many deep water crossings on this trip we should all put our vehicles on the lift and grease all fittings. If you going to do this, bring $5.00 to put in the pot unless you bring all you own grease and grease gun. Thanks, Fred Explorer 1 Carl almost ended all future trips by eliminating his spotter!

One other thing I forgot.
If you coming, help out by bringing 2, 2 liter bottles of your favorite soft drink for us to drink with our pizza.
Thanks, Fred
