I went to start up the GRAND to go and have the smog check and the battery was totally dead. I jumped it with cables and let it run for a while. I forgot about the computer re-setting after total dead battery so my smog guy checked it and said it would need more miles before it could be tested. We talked about the prior emission test and he explained that he didn't believe the testing indicated a bad O2 sensor but a old CAT instead. He went into details as to why he felt this way, which was above my pay scale. He was willing to test it and if it failed to re-test it one more time for free, but for now it needed more miles before he could even do that. I'm concerned about the dead battery. We had it one time before get low after the doors were one one evening which shouldn't happen with just the dome lights on. We may have a leak somewhere and should test the battery with all lights off to see if there is a drain. The tires will arrive tomorrow (Wednesday) in the AM and the lift sometime Thursday before we meet. If not the lift will arrive Friday. See you then, Fred

I drove the GRAND this evening to Granada for the finance committee meeting with the intent to get some miles on it so we can re-set the computer and go for the smog test.
In route the interior lights started flickering on and off as I drove.
This Thursday we need to isolate and then remove the door sensor that is causing this.
Until then I'll keep it on the charger.
Thanks, Fred

I believe it is the rear window hatch switch that is giving you the flickering.... My two cents

You're right it was, we disconnected it last Thursday and it seem to have done the trick.
Also, the problem we have had with the turn signal indicator flashing too fast, like one of the light was burned out git fixed at the same time.......go figure.
I still think the draining of the battery that much has left it's make on our battery, we'll see in the long run how it does.
Thanks, Fred Explorer 1

Matt, I noticed that one of the rear third light brake lights located in the upper rear window is out, maybe that's why the information center in the console is flashing the rear lights out.
Worth a try,
Thanks and see you after the alignment.
