Well the GRAND made it through the New Years trip with three passengers to boot. The worn rear tires really cause it to slide easily so we need to address this soon especially of one of the owner want to take it on the ANZA BORREGO trip coming up soon.
We need 4 rims with what I would say at least a 3 1/2 inch off set. Black would be the preferred color. Then we will need 4 used good off road tires. 31x10.50x 15.
Lets get to work finding some. If need be we could settle with two of one brand in the front and two of another brand in the rear.
Matt, should we put in the simple spacer lifts before it goes out to Anza Borrego with the "new" tires, if so I need to order them.

I agree that we should go ahead and secure the 15" tires and then put in the 2" lift and then see if we even need any back spacing. By the way, what's the difference between off set and back spacing? ? Which lift, without the shocks would you go with? Let's make a decision and order it. The shocks on it now are not the best and that is putting a nice spin on it. We would then also need to secure those tires so we can get them installed and tested before the Anza trip. Fred

www.earlywheel.com/graphics/choosingdiagram.jpg this explains the difference. i think we should go with the first kit i linked, the $100 one. i have an idea for shocks that will be cheaper and better at the same time. i will explain later.

Remind me to bring this up to the group tomorrow night.
Then we can move forward.

Ryan, go for it and see what you can get them for, remember that we can get Matt's tires and rims for $400.00.
It would be easier if we just swapped his tires and rims for our tires and rims.
If you need some cash let me know. Most likely anyone who buys it from him will be interested in parts, not fixing it them selves. so the tires won't contribute to the sale price much.

He also has a 1 inch spacer lift and shocks that're probably better than our's. Maybe we can convince him to come to a Thursday night and swap everything we want.

Why not buy it and take the corner panel that was damaged off our GRAND and put it on thios one, then we'll have a ready off road vehicle with a V8. Then we'll just part of the GRAND we have now?
Really, I'm almost serious!
