Thanks Cameron for pointing out that this thread needed to be started. I have spent the last couple of years deciding whether I wanted to purchase a motorcycle. I have been missing the open air of my yj and was attracted to hybrid mpg on a budget. I liked the dirt bike look from the 70's but just don't have the time for a project. My wife was on board but with the young family I had my hesitations. But really felt a peace from God about. Like he wanted me to truth him with it. How much faith did I have that he could take care of me or take care of my family if I am gone. Does he really control he universe? Anyways this is a lot of my spiritual and philosophical wrestling. As I researched I really liked the nx250. One of the few 50/50 dirt and street bike. Not perfect on the street or dirt but decent on both. I liked the look and the reliability of the engine. Problem was they were only made from 1988-1990 in the states (longer in Europe). So they are old and parts are difficult to find. More info herehttp://www.advpulse.com/adv-bikes/throwback-thursday-1988-honda-nx250/ I ended up finding one with only 3800 miles. A little higher than I wanted to pay but it was in great running shape. What it looked like when I picked it up. Attachments:

Nice ride, I'd love to get a dual sport some day. What are you plans/list of upgrades you'd like for it?

You'll have to take it for a spin. The suspension is too soft especial for a big guy like me. There is easily found eBay Suzuki shock that I'll get soon. I already traded my street tires for more of an aggressive tire. I got military Alice bags that I am making brackets for. That should be fine for a while. When my tires wear down I'll probably go with a taller tire. The shock and bigger tires will make the bike taller when I am ready to be more on my tip toes and need better suspension. Attachments:

Hey Fred! I hope you are all recovered. Would your fancy plasma table be able to cut this rotopax bracket for my motorcycle? Probably out of aluminum. I'll email you the CAD files I have. Attachments:
