This has been waiting for quite some time (years) for me to deal with. Since Explorer 1 is disabled with fuel pump and lifter problems, why not take this time to address the leaking pinion seal on the Currie front axle. It have leaked since I first installed it and filled the diff with oil.
I called Currie and they sent me a new seal which I installed but it still leaks. In order to have them look at it I need to remove the "3rd Member" (the inner diff. part) and take it to them to look at.
It's a bit of a job and with my RCV axles it's a little bit different than I've done before. However, with a lift it's sure makes getting to it much easier even if it takes a bit of work to get it out.
Here it is ready for me to drive out to Currie Monday.
