I'm looking at some options for a replacement engine for the 7-11 Grand. One option is to shell out some rather larger $$ for a new engine complete with a 3 year unlimited mileage warrantee. On the other end would be something like the guy in Rialto who pulls out engines out of XJ's and ZJ's and then sells them for about $450.00+.
There are a few other options in between that I am getting a price one. Like the place we got the Murrie's engine and then there is one other company that sells certified used engines both with lesser warrantees.
We currently have $1,063.00 on hand. Some of this will be needed to register the car and pay the sales tax due, I hope Ryan has this under control. We'll need to reimburse him for this.
We have 7 outstanding shares, I own 3, then Murrie, Randy, Rudi and Fernando with each one share. If we go a route that uses more $$ than we have on hand we'll all need to pay up our share.
Also, the owners need to participate on the repairs, so if your schedule doesn't allow you to come when we work on it, you might consider selling out your share out of fairness to those who do the work.
We need input both from owners and those in the group with some experience in these l=kind of repairs.
