I am planning a 4 wheel drive trip in the Bishop area for the last week in September 2024. I understand the Coyote Valley Rd (7S10) is open to the public. I would like to know if the condition of the road has been improved in recent years? The last time I used this road was about 4 years ago and it was very rough to get up the mountain. It is my understanding that it was closed in the summer of 2023 and heavy machinery worked on the road. Any information about this road condition would be highly appreciated.
