Fred, What is the iterinary and departure time Friday AM. Are we heading NE on the 15 or going up the 5?

OK, just got back from the Oaks, Lots of good progress going on.

Delighted there will be both some "new timers" and some old timers going.

We'll leave at 5 am from Ralphs (corner of Whittier and Colima).

We'll travel whichever freeway is fastest to Interstate 5 and then take Freeway 14 north through Palmdale and Lancaster. Once we come to Jawbone Canyon we'll head up toward the Southern Sierra Nevada mountains to secure a camp spot, Hopefully the snow has melted enough to use our old camp spot. If not, we'll find another one to use.

Usually, there is firewood available, but I'm still going to bring one box of wood just in case we have to camp lower where no wood is available.

Lunches will be on the trail, Dinners in camp along with breakfast.

Could be rather "cool" in the evenings so bring warm clothes. Days in the desert will be pleasant.

SO I understand we'll have Me, John Freeman, Murrie and Michael in his "post totaled" Tacoma.

Anyone else?

Michael or John, If you could bring some kindling and paper to start a fire would be helpful.

Also, with a small group, we'll stop in route out for a sit down breakfast.

I will bring the Harbor Freight tool box. I will bring my impacts also. Mike and I go mano y mano, bare knuckle. Boxing gloves, wussy. Mike can use you big steak after I blacken his eyelids. :-)
