Death Valley Tour March 4-7th

I’ll be joining too. Thanks for coordinating all the things! Still hoping Carl will make it.

We are less than a week away from this trip so I need t get an idea on who is actually coming.

I’ll be driving my JKU and bringing my nephew Wyatt.

Don't give up hope, There still may be some one who comes forth!

With a smaller group going we ma need to double up on the firewood.

If you have a need for some, I just brought back a load from the Oaks.

I don't believe we will have a need for extra gas, I may bring along one can just in case. We will most likely top off our tanks each opportunity along the way.

There is still some question about what trails are open so I may need to make up out route along the way.

AT least day one I can say;

We'll travel with the evening destination being Trona Pinnacles. in route there we will visit Randsburg via some dirt roads and then take the longer unpaved route into the Pinnacles.

Day two we will travel toward the Defense Mine and the lonely mountain side remains of Lookout (great views of the Panamint range and Panamint valley).

From their it all depends of road closures and snow depth, but he goal would be to make our way into the Saline Valley and then not sure from then, maybe over Lippincott pass and then into Death Valley proper.

We'll see.

I'm sorry, Dad. I would have loved to go, but with taking a week off for Mexico and work ramping up for a launch, I don't think it would be good work ethic for me to miss work during the week at this time. Hope you have a nice trip! I wish I could have made it.
