I'm helping with a Father son wilderness/off road trip August 4-6th.
I've been in contact wit the National Forest and while they say that the jeep 4wd road to Monache Meadows is currently closed they do expect that it will be cleared and open by the end of July.
So for now I'm saying we're having this event as scheduled in August.
I'm looking for driver who can assist us in driving up a Father and son who don't have a 4wd vehicle, they would pay for you gas, round trip.
We'll have so activities involving how to make a fire and how to cook a simple meal over a wood fire. There will also be a basic "how to use a compass" class.
If you want to come with your son or grandson let me know. There is no cost for the program. We will be making small groups for meals or 3 to 4 adults and sons.
Monache Meadows is located in the Southern Sierra Nevada mountains on the South Fork of the Kern River. There will be fishing available along with "water play" while we experience the great wild outdoors.
