OK the hunt is on. Looking for a jeep, one I can wheel in and not trash my truck. Cherokee, or just maybe a wrangler. I could use some help from you experts in letting me know what are the best years, models, etc. Cherokee vs. Grand? How to know which models have the Dana 44 etc. Something pretty ideal with lower miles expected if anywhere near the $2500 mark. I guess ideally I'm looking to swoop on that optimal off road cherokee with low miles that has been driven around the suburbs by a soccer mom or grandparent................not a grandparent like Fred or Chuck though.

Oh and in case any of you ever wondered 6"2" 260# men do not fit in old CJ5s, I learned that today after driving all the way to Temecula to look at one, I couldn't even test drive it.... a real deal breaker. I'd wanted a CJ my whole life, now I'm forced to change the plan, probably for the better.
