I would think that the chains may be more important to those vehicles without some kind of locking axles.

Would it be too late to ask if I can tag along? I’ve been having some issues, but I believe I’ve got it figured out. Lord willing I’ll make it. If it’s alright I’ll let you know tomorrow night so you’ll know in the morning before leaving.

Good morning from Dallas. We are here with Andrey and look forward to meet up with you at Kramer Junction (corner of Hwy 395 and Hwy 58), I guess about 15 minutes before 7am. Thanks, Murrie, for taking care of the main meals for us as well. I have two boxes with fire wood. However, I do not have any snow chains with me, and not extra fuel can. I guess I should be alright without. I will have my radio on, so hope to hear your closer to the Kramer Junction. Plan to leave early tomorrow morning from Las Vegas, in order to get there on time. Just in case, here is my cell: (714)624-9069. See you! Rudi

Rudi With your ability to lock both front and rear axles and your "excellent" driving skills you should be able to get by without chains.......I could always pull you through if e get a real slippery spot that you can't. See you Friday morning. Fred
