I now that we had some trips scheduled originally for the summer months this year.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to take them.
AN update on my JK and the many problems it has had.
As most of you know, I have been throwing codes just about every time I took it out. Finally, the mechanics were convinced that (as I told them from day one) that the problem was associated with the main wire harness being torn apart over 2 years ago. I secured an replacement new Mopar main wire harness and they had it installed.
After their install, there ere a number of related electrical problems that occurred. With another couple of days at the dealer most were corrected, however one regarding the failure of the a/c compressor to engage . After several more days at the dealer they came up with a the problem being with the ECU. These of course are on backorder everywhere.
With no A/C I'm not very motivated to make a summer trip, so for now my wilderness trips are limited to the OAKS.
The new ECU earliest date of delivery is July 16th.
Once it arrives it is yet to be seen that it will actually fix the problem. We'll see and I'll keep you posted.
