New Years Day Trip

There is a OHV area I've never explored, The Stoddard Valley OHV. Located between Victorville and Barstow just before the In & Out Burger at the Factory Outlet stores at Lynwood exit.

Beside lots of trails of various difficulties to explore there is one difficult trail I have read about and would like to check out.

The plan is to finish up the XJ enough today so I can take it out and "Baptize by Fire" the latest changes (improvements).

The difficult trail is called ACHY-BREAKY. It is in total just over 6 miles long but the book assigns 4 - 5 hours to complete.

All are welcome to come and check out the OHV area as there should be loads of easy and moderate trails also.

When it comes to ACHY-BREAKY no stock or long wheel base vehicles, each driver can check out the trail and make a decision for themselves and at any time turn around and do some of the easier trails if they wish.

ACHY-BREAKY beginning and ending are less than 1/2 mile apart, its a loop trail.

Weather should be cool and pleasant. The high for the day should be in the low 50's so dress warm. No cloud cover just sunshine all day.

Bring your own lunch and drinks, we will head home in the early afternoon so you should be home before dinner, that of course is pending any breakdowns that we have to assist with.

We'll leave my home at 5am, and have breakfast at the Denny's at the Lynwood exit on the I -15, fuel up and then head back to the OHV area.
