The replacement ECU arrived today in the mail. Perhaps if we meet this Thursday we can get it installed. If we don't meet, I may be able to do it on Saturday.

Picked up the Grand tonight from Clay so we'll have it for Thursday. Matt, no need, it's already programed with the vin and milage. It's "plug & play" ready. The warranty starts when they receive the core back. I ask that the "owners" that have not had the privledge of having the Grand for a visit, concider taking her home this Thursday evening for 2-4 weeks. That is of course assuming it does not get sold. Once again I want to take this opportunity to thank Clay for his kind concideration with donating parts & giving the Grand a vacation. The Grand will be at "Freds Garage" Thursday if we meet. See you all soon.....

I've driven it both Friday and Saturday, hasn't stalled once yet. The check engine light did come in but it appears to be just the gas cap. I'm bringing it to church tomorrow also, at what point do we say we fixed the stall problem? Thanks, Fred

i'd say a week of driving is good enough

I would agree with a week of daily driving. If it hasn't shown up in that time, then I think it's good to go.

Mailed the ECU back today. Did a little research found out about the rebuilt ecu. It looked like the case had had holes cut out of the back, and that would appear to be the fix for these. Because of the design a certain pin solder join on hte board cracks and the easiest way to repair it is to cut holes in the back of the ecu and solder them back.
