Went up to Hodge road about 3 or 4 weeks ago to do some target shooting. There were lots of people near the freeway and for the first mile or so. We decided to go further North West up to a taller hill in distance in order to be more secluded. We continued up to the top where we had a great view all around and decided to go down a steep rocky road that I didn’t intend to try and return up. We ended up in a valley by ourselves with no one else around or even visible. Set up tables and had a good time shooting from 25 feet to 100 yards with pistols and rifles. We could of continued NW but wanted to head in a generally SE direction back towards the main shooting area and the highway. It made for some bushwhacking, following washes that looked like old abandoned trails. Found myself going over 4’ and 5’ tall creosote bushes and pumpkin size boulders for about 40 minutes to regular dirt trails. I’m planning to go back in 2 or 3 weeks for another shooting trip, if anyone if interested let me know.
