A Mojave trip for the latest project vehicle would be interesting. By the way, it needs a name. Bodie's Ghost Jeep?? Not sure who I am quoting but I've heard nothing from Bodie, except a few weeks ago when he found out Caleb was not coming and he said he wouldn't either. Thanks, Fred Explorer 1 |

I will be bringing my really big but a little flimsy grill for the fire. I'm not bringing in the usual big cook kit since it gets so little use on this kind of trip.
The suns sets early and rises late this time of the year, a warm fire into the evening and night can be a very welcomes friend. Without several of you bringing fire wood bed time comes rather early.

The people/rigs I thought would be joining us from Oceanside have both bailed, so it'll be just me. I'll catch up with you guys at Denny's, leaving Oceanside @ 4am.

I count 9 vehicles so far that said they are coming, with three additional who have indicated that they want to come but haven't given me any confirmation.

Wes will not be coming now. Rachel was rear-ended this morning again in our yellow XJ and it's totaled. I will be leaving early Friday afternoon now and Carl will be driving with me. I will meet you at the campsite in the New York Mountains.
