A few of you have come up to our little paradise in the mountains. This past few days we have experienced some of nature's fury in the form of a flood. The normal Santa Ana River 10-12 feet wide traveling at the south end of our property grew to over 100 feet wide in a torrent of mud sand and downed trees. Here are a few before and after pictures. The area we named "The Shire" next to the river" Here is the flood going through it Here is what is left as the water receded. Here is a picture of the entrance you follow off the pavement to our property behind he small steel gate. Here is what it looks like now: Te mains structures were safe but the natural spring is buried, and the irrigation system and pump may be completely gone. Looks like I'll have my work cut out for me this spring and summer. Tanks, Fred Explorer 1

Wow. That looks terrible. Let me know when you plan to tackle the major issues and I'll see if I can fly in to help.

Thanks Jim,
Here is a video Mina made that tells the story and has some additional footage.
I'm off on the Nevada and Arizona Strip trip Saturday, hopefully when I return my new tractor will be ready to be delivered and put to work. Right now everything is covered in 18" of snow with more coming today and tomorrow. I will have to wait until the snow melts and exposes the ground before I can do the heavy work.
Thanks, Fred Explorer 1`

Another "before and "after" picture, this time it's after the flood and after me spending a few days working on a section of the "Shire" Same tree in the center. Thanks, Fred Explorer 1
