I was intending to come but my son has asked for my help this Saturday in doing some home repairs before the out of state landlord arrives in two weeks. Let me know about any upcoming excursions. Have fun.

OK, looks like a good crowd, I'll try and help those of you who want to sharpen some of your skills and for the rest you "have already arrived in their own mind" they can help the rest of us.
I'm leaving Ralphs's market, corner Colima and Whittier blvd at 6 am sharp. I'm getting coffee and a roll at the Starbucks across the street at 5:30.
I'll be mentoring 147.555 and my cell will be on. 562-547-5577. If your late and miss my parting you can catch up on the way. I'll be taking Colima over the hill to the 60 (Pomona) freeway and then taking interstate 5 all the way to the McDonalds in Castaic (Lake Hughs Exit, same one we exit for the Dennys) I will be ordering myself breakfast and heading on the road north on 5 again. This will not be a sit down breakfast.
Exit Smokey Bear Road and go under the freeway to the South entrance to the Hungry Valley OHV. Follow Hungry Valley road to the Aliklik campground where next door is the 4WD Practice area we will be for most the day.
Remember to bring your own drinks and snacks, Fernando is BBQing our lunch, bring $5.00 and a big thanks to him.
