Fred,
Looks like I can officially commit on here, planning on rolling in Saturday morning. I've been to Blair Valley before so all I need is an approximate departure time for Saturday's wheeling and I'll make sure to be at camp before then.

Figure we will aim for leaving Blair for the Pinion Valley trail (Squeeze, Heart Attack etc) by 8 am. Thanks. Fred Explorer 1

I'll meet the group at the Calcite Mine trail head off the S2 (it's 2.25 hrs from Oceanside by the slowest route) and I don't have to deal with Temcula to Riverside morning commute traffic. Driving all the way up to the I-10 for breakfast and then back down to Borrego is a 2-3 hrs of extra driving and gas. I'll plan on being at the trail head/S2 junction at 9:30 am. Google maps says it a 1 hr drive from Thousand Palms to the trail head. All this considering the Calcite Mine is the first excursion point. Let me know if that changes.

Mike Yep, The mine is the first trip. I have no idea how long it is from Whittier to the mine when you add 30 minutes for breakfast and then gas fill up at the S2 and Hwy 86 junction. Looks like our group is growing daily, so each stop will take a little longer. We'll be in contact via phone and radio. SInce I'm taking the hand held radio, but to try and reach Murrie via radio until we meet. If you have an extra hand held, bring it so Jessica can use it if she comes. Thanks, Fred Explorer 1

I have an extra hand-held for Jessica to use, I'll be sure to bring it. I'll hail Murrie when I get to the trail head.
