Somebody's got to be first...... Fernando's "Roadbuilding Class 101" How many people can say their engine went up Heart Attack Hill twice in two different vehicles? If you don't understand the above comment, take a look at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xi6-pLtDsl0Thanks, Fred Explorer 1 Thanks, Fred Explorer 1

I learned last Thursday night the difference between "upcoming trips" and "past trips". I have been posting in the wrong place, sorry. We, Matt, Sheri, Sandi and I, had a great trip. We would like to thank all of you. Special thanks to Niel for introducing us to the group. Fred for his hospitality and spotting skills and Matt for guiding/spotting us through some rough places without a scratch. Murray for providing us with several entertaining moments (sorry about the broken parts). I will work on getting a Photobucket page set up to share my photos with everyone. We look forward to the next trip! Oh, my 16 year old son Daniel would like your help finding a Cherokee for his first car. Fernando learns that even ZJ's have limits........ Fred Explorer 1 Here is my attempt at telling the truth about this video. We are all trucking along enjoying the scenery and from time to time, some light drizzle. Fred makes a public announcement that he would like to relieve himself of some fluids. As he returns, he asks if anyone would like to take a challenge. Ryan and I both accepted the challenge before even seeing the obstacle. Little did we know that Fred had no intentions of truly challenging us. After consulting with him about the approach to this obstacle and his advice against it, I decided to use poor judgment and take it on. Surprisingly, after a couple of attempts and many rocks piled high for clearance, I climbed to top of the first rock. Once at the top it became apparent to me that even if I was to clear it, there were other challenges. But I attempted to press on. Long story short, my transfer case served as a very good anchor. I was not able to move in any direction but sideways. Neil pulled me away from the one rock and we used a high-lift Jack to raise my vehicles enough to slide off the other rock. We returned to camp to straighten out my transfer case skid plate and heal my ego before heading out the next day. I would like to thank everyone who encouraged me to try it, and stuck around to help me out of it.

Better to have tried and fail then to not try at all!!! I commend your trying! Fred Explorer 1 I tried to have an adventure and a good time. I didn't get through the obstacle, but my goal was to see how far I could get. I succeeded in having an adventure, a good time, and learning my vehicle's limits.
