Matt and I visited this vehicle and I was a bit disappointed that the pictures they showed on the vehicle, purposely omitted the front passenger fender where the body damage is. I wrote them about is as this would effect the bidding prices and as a matter of fair disclosure it should shown in the pictures. I tried to post the picture as a question to the seller on the vehicle so we don't have to bid against a ignorant bidder who doesn't know of the damage. Thanks, Fred Explorer 1

I found a 2000 Grand that was very clean, newer transmission and the right color. It has an engine knock so it would need to be replaced. So I went to "Low Mileage Used Engines.com" for a quote an a replacement engine and it was interesting what their comment was:
We at Low Mileage Engines certainly appreciate your request for the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7, but unfortunately at this time we are not able to provide you with this engine.
This particular engine is know for many issues. We would definitely recommend you consider purchasing a remanufactured engine.
Thank You once again

yeaaaah a replacement 4.7 would cost more than the whole jeep. best we stay away from that motor unless we find one in already good running condition.

We didn't get it, I wasn't willing to go all the way to $2,000 because of the fees they charge and the cost of the new fender. I went just over $1,800. Someone else got it, I'm ok with it, I'm now looking at: orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/4191918074.htmlThanks, Fred

I talked with the owner of this today, we're scheduling a time when he can bring it by for me to see. He has owned it for 6 years and according to him taken excellent care of it. He states it runs very well. Only outstanding issues is that the A/C compressor bearing was making noise so he by-passed it with a different belt. It also seems that the top bolt on the sway bar is loose, just like Fernando's so it makes a clunking sound. He said there is no body damage of any kind and there are no flaws in the interior expect on the drivers door where a small hole in the vinyl where you pull it closed. ( every older Grand I have seen has the same hole in the vinyl. It has the 249 transfer case and the 5.2 engine. orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/4191918074.htmlHe also said he is flexible on the price. He has already purchased a replacement auto so this is an extra vehicle. Fred

Interior was really nice. Gray cloth, looks almost new. I tried to start it but the battery was almost completely dead. Didn't get any other info on it.
