This is what my Bronco looked like when I first brought it home. It cost me a whole $600. It had obviously bad paint, ugly wheels, no interior and the steering wheel was a pair of vise grips but it ran strong. 1990 Ford Bronco XLT 5.0L/302CI Attachments:

After some small modifications. -4 used ProComp Crawler Wheels (New Paint) -Yokahama Geolander Tires 33x12.5. -4" Lift in front, new Bilstein 5100 shocks. -4" lift in rear, repacked leaf springs. -Front Tow hooks off an F250. -Fiberglass front fenders with tubed inner fenders. -Magnaflow Headers, Y-Pipe, Muffler and Tail Pipe. -Completed interior. I'm sure I am missing many other projects. Currently I am rebuilding the transmission, should be done in the next few weekends. I have some cut and turned beams waiting to be cleaned and braced before I can install them. I will also be adding uniballs instead of the bushings. This will allow me to remove the drop brackets and get better articulation. Attachments:

I will bring it by as soon as the transmission is back in order. The final parts will be arriving next week.
Born and raised a Ford fan, the Bronco is my second Ford "Off Road" vehicle so far. That being said, I can appreciate just about anything with an engine.

Thanks, my first was a 4X4 Ranger, it took me a lot of cool places. The problem was size and its particular year had a very small aftermarket following so I couldn't do much with it.

Latest update on my Bronco:
I drove it around this past weekend. Transmission is working well enough to drive although not enough for wheeling.
A little more adjustment with the TV cable and some vacuum lines and it will be in good shape.

Not that I have been around in the past few months to talk about it but the Bronco is among the living again. I finally had a weekend to finish the transmission rebuild and add in a few performance modifications. It is now built with heavy duty parts and a shift kit to help it get moving smoothly.
I am working on replacing a few engine components to help it run and should be taking it in for a SMOG test between Christmas and New Years. If all goes well I may bring it by a shop night soon.
I had forgotten how good it feels to drive a real truck around, I'm looking forward to some dirt.

Good news! indeed!
I usually take a day or two on New Years to do some exploring, maybe you could come out and give it a try. What the forum for details.
Thanks, Fred

The Bronco is running strong. Over the short vacation I was able to do a lot of needed maintenance. I replaced all the vacuum lines, most of the old lines had worn or melted through. I installed new 9MM spark plug wires and some heat shielding fiberglass cloth to protect them from the headers. I am only waiting on u-joints for the front drive shaft and then I can go to the DMV and SMOG to make it legal.
Looking forward to some much needed time outside of the city in my truck.

I don't know if I could have waited that long to get "back on the "off road" again"!
Checkout this e-mail I received today...........do you know what he's talk'n bout?
Engine is finished and we will package it back up in the crate tomorrow.
Let me know what shipping address you would like to ship it back to and I will get everything lined up.
Thanks Chad
