We will be working the Thursday, shop opens at 5 pm. While trying to install the transfer case last Thursday I had a problem in that the transmission and magnum box would not slide together. There was a 3/8th inch gap that would not close. Turns out the input on the Magnum is too long or the output shaft on teh AW4 may also be too long. So I'm going to need to cut off some of the input shaft on the Magnum box. Nothing custom seems to go together easy on my XJ.........but I guess I ask for it on how I built it. Just a reminder that we are having a Saturday shop this next Saturday starting at 7 am with replacing Neil's rear main seal. Thanks, Fred Explorer 1

Wow, that's a shame. Good luck with it. I'll be there Thursday and Saturday by 0700.

Fred,
I will be there Saturday. Would it be OK to replace my power steering unit and bleed the brakes on the Baboon? I replaced the alternator and the squealing did not stop so the last thing to replace is the steering pump.

I replaced the alternator and the squealing is still there. The only part left is the power steering unit.
